As a third generation Westfielder, I would like to express my support for Dawn Nichol-Manning as the next Ward 3 councilmember.As a member of the Dr. Martin Luther King Association, I have had the opportunity to serve with Dawn and to work with her on several projects. She did a fabulous job assisting and curating the pop-up African-American History in Westfield museum exhibit and promoting unity and compassion among the residents of Westfield.
Dawn’s experience as a longtime science teacher, an ordained minister and an entrepreneur enables her to understand the importance of principled and innovative decision making, community engagement, as well as fiscal management and responsibility. These attributes will serve her well as a member of the Town Council.
Most importantly, Dawn is open minded, listens to the concerns of others and considers all positions regarding an issue. Dawn will make decisions that are in the best interest of the Town, will provide thoughtful governance and will advocate for the continued excellent quality of life in the Town and in Ward 3.
