WESTFIELD — The arm relic of Saint Jude Thaddeus, venerated in Rome from ancient times, is on a pilgrimage in the United States and is coming to Saint Helen Roman Catholic Church, located at 1600 Rahway Avenue, Westfield, this Saturday, December 9.
The relic, one of the treasures of the church, will arrive and the pilgrimage will begin at 1 p.m. with a mass. Veneration will commence immediately after mass. There will be a pause of veneration at 4:30 p.m. for the celebration of 5 p.m., to resume after mass until 10 p.m.
Known as the Apostle of the Impossible, Saint Jude is revered for his unwavering dedication and steadfast faith. Millions have experienced his intercession in time of adversity and need.
