SUMMIT — The Summit Area Old Guard will meet on Tuesday, January 9, at 10 a.m., at the New Providence Presbyterian Church, located at 1307 Springfield Avenue, Summit.
Melanie Hazim, director of outreach at the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, will discuss her responsibilities for educating about and promoting awareness of scams targeting New Jersey residents and implementing the division’s mission and goal to protect New Jersey’s residents from becoming victims of these frauds.
Founded in 1930, the group meets most Tuesdays at the church. The organization’s motto is: “Come for the Programs. Stay for the Friends.”
Old Guard programs are free to the public, and all are welcome.
