WESTFIELD — The Westfield Historical Society has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of January 2024.
The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable-bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
The Westfield Historical Society was selected as the January 2024 beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at 219 Elm Street, Westfield. The Society will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during the month of January 2024.
“We are very happy to be chosen as beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program by the Westfield Stop & Shop,” said Brian Remite, president of the Westfield Historical Society. “Proceeds from these bag purchases will help the Society to further our mission to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield and its residents through educational efforts and community-outreach programs.”
