In light of the pandemic and an increased emphasis on parenting and time spent at home, “ Gentle Parenting” has emerged as an umbrella term for parenting styles focused on understanding and compassion. However, as more adults designate their distant, ineffective parenting styles under this category, it reduces any and all significance that empathy holds in parenting.
