WESTFIELD — “Vintage Valentines plus Story Time and a Craft” will be the featured program this Sunday, February 11, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Miller-Cory House Museum.
The custom of writing romantic notes and letters for St. Valentine’s Day was very popular in colonial America. By the mid-1800s, the first mass-produced Valentine’s Day cards were sold, and an industry was born.
The program on Sunday will include a display of vintage valentines, some dating to the 1800s, along with a children’s Valentine’s Day craft and story time.
Admission is $5 for visitors ages 13 and older; $4 for ages 3 to 12, and free for those under age 3.
The Miller-Cory House Museum is located at 614 Mountain Avenue, Westfield. For full information about the museum and its programs, visit millercoryhouse.com.
