Westfield Area Y to Feature Healthy Kids Day March 2

DOGGONE CUTE...While many celebrate the 100th day of school, the Westfield Area YMCA’s Cranford Kindergarten Wraparound class got creative and celebrated the 101st instead. On February 15, students dressed up as Dalmatians, accompanied by their teacher, Thomas Greene, who dressed as “Cruello” DeVille. The Westfield Area YMCA’s Kindergarten Wraparound at the Cranford Community Center expands upon the incorporated public-school curriculum in a nurturing learning environment. This year, the Y is offering both morning and afternoon programs to complement the Cranford Kindergarten schedule. Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is open now. WESTFIELD — The Westfield Area YMCA will host the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, March 2, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. It will take place at the Main Y Facility, located at 220 Clark Street, Westfield. This free event features a variety of family-friendly activities and resources that encourage and nurture healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the spring season.

Families will have an opportunity to enjoy a day filled with games and activities, nutritional snacks, giveaways, jumping inflatables, and interactions with community partners.

The nonprofit Y is committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Financial assistance is available for YMCA programs and memberships for those who qualify.
