SUMMIT AREA — Dr. Lenny McDonald will be the guest speaker for the Tuesday, March 26 meeting of the Summit Area Old Guard, where he will discuss experimentation and creativity in photography.
Dr. McDonald will describe his journey from science at Wyeth/Pfizer to his present avocation of photography. Macro and close-up photography are his favorite styles, and he will discuss the impact of exploiting minute details. He will show some of his nonmacro abstract work and will briefly share his perspective on AI in photography and how it fits into his creative process.
He has exhibited his work in various venues across New Jersey, including at the Reeves-Reed Arboretum, Mayo Performing Arts Center and the Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie Mansion. Interested persons can review some of his work on his Instagram page at instagram.com/ lennysfineartphotos/. Founded in 1930, the Summit Area Old Guard is a social, recreational and educational fellowship of retired men. Dues are minimal.
