Monday, March 18, police took a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Target store located at 45 Central Avenue. The suspect fled the scene. This incident is under investigation.
Wednesday, March 20, police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked in the vicinity of Central Avenue. This incident is under investigation.
Friday, March 22, Emily Beasley, 45, of Maplewood was arrested and charged with shoplifting $82.08 worth of merchandise from the Target store located at 45 Central Avenue. Beasley was transported to Clark Police Department Headquarters, processed accordingly and released pending a court date.
Friday, March 22, police took a report of fraud from a resident. This incident is under investigation.
Saturday, March 23, police took a report concerning the theft of items from a patron of LA Fitness. This incident is under investigation.
Saturday, March 23, police took a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred at the Target store located at 45 Central Avenue. This incident is under investigation.
Sunday, March 24, police took a report of fraud from a resident. This incident is under investigation.
Sunday, March 24, Stephanie Nunez, 35, of Avenel was arrested and charged with shoplifting merchandise, valued at $745.37, from the Target store located at 45 Central Avenue. Nunez was transported to Clark Police Department Headquarters to be processed accordingly and was found to have multiple outstanding warrants through Union County. Nunez was ultimately transported to the Union County jail.
CRANFORD
Sunday, March 17, police stopped a motor vehicle on Raritan Road after witnessing the driver strike a curb. Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Max Johnson, 40, of Cliffwood, was placed under arrest and charged with DrivingWhile Intoxicated (DWI), Careless Driving, Reckless Driving and Possession of an Open Container. Johnson was released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.
Monday, March 18, police responded to a retail establishment located on South Avenue West on a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred. A short time later, the responding officers located two suspects on South Avenue at High Street who were in possession of property that was reported stolen by the victim. Subsequent to a brief investigation, Drayton Rambert, 54, of Elizabeth was arrested and charged with Shoplifting. A second suspect, Gregory Fulford, 55, of Newark, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Rambert was released on summonses pending a municipal court hearing. Fulford was issued a summons and turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department on a preexisting no-bail warrant.
Sunday, March 24, police stopped a motor vehicle on NorthAvenue East at Carpenter Place after witnessing that the vehicle did not have a front license plate. Subsequent to an investigation, the driver, Dustin Rose, 35, of Colonia, was placed under arrest on charges of Possession of CDS Heroin, CDS Cocaine, and Evidence Tampering. Rose was processed and provided a Superior Court appearance date.

Monday, March 18, a resident of South Avenue reported that an unknown individual(s) made four fraudulent charges in his name to an unknown energy company, which totaled $2,104. The incident was documented by patrol officers.
Tuesday, March 19, patrol officers responded to a residence on Shady Lane for the report of a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that their wallet was stolen from their unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the street. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Tuesday, March 12, a resident of Country Club Lane reported a package taken from his porch. This matter is under investigation.
Thursday, March 14, a resident of Cedar Grove Terrace was the victim of a phone scam in which she gave money to a courier in order to bail out a family member from jail. The Patrol Division and Detective Bureau have identified suspects and this matter currently is under investigation.
Thursday, March 14, Cassandra Catala, 38, of Rahway was arrested as the result of a motor vehicle stop. Police stopped her vehicle for being unregistered and for her driving with a suspended license. During the investigation, an open traffic warrant was discovered out of Elizabeth. Her vehicle was impounded and she was released with a new court date.
Thursday, March 14, a resident of Birch Street fell victim to an Apple Customer Service scam. She made several transactions involving large amounts of money. This matter is under investigation.
Thursday, March 14, Roosevelt E. Bryant, 37, of Plainfield was arrested for a no-bail warrant out of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. He was turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department.
Saturday, March 16, Jeffrey J. Donnelly, 37, of Scotch Plains was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and also for an open traffic warrant out of the Scotch Plains Police Department. He was stopped for a suspended registration, but upon further investigation, he was found to be intoxicated. Donnelly was charged with multiple motor vehicle violations along with DUI Refusal. His vehicle was impounded and he was released to a responsible adult.
Monday, March 18, a resident of Coles Avenue reported being a victim of fraud. A third-party broker purchased a motor vehicle on her behalf, and delivered the vehicle. The payment was never sent to the dealership. This was discovered when the vehicle was recovered by the dealership. This matter in under investigation.
Wednesday, March 20, Jonatan Ortiz, 37, of Bloomfield was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant out of the Springfield Police Department. Ortiz was released with a new court date after posting a 10-percent payment of the total warrant.
Thursday, March 21, a resident reported that one of his license plates was stolen from his motor vehicle sometime around February 17. This matter is under investigation.
Friday, March 22, a resident of Harwich Court reported fraud. The resident mailed a check in the amount of $18; however, the check was cashed for $1,800 by someone the check was not intended for. This matter is under investigation.
WESTFIELD
Sunday, March 17, Ronald Estradarivera, 40, of Long Branch was placed under arrest for N.J.S.A. 39:4-50, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on Clifton Street near the intersection of Beverly Drive. Estradarivera was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later released with a future court date.
Sunday, March 17, a resident of the 500 block of Cumberland Street reported that their motor vehicle had been stolen during the overnight hours. The vehicle, a 2021 Hyundai valued at approximately $24,000, was parked in the roadway at the time of the theft. The resident indicated that they were in possession of all the keys for the vehicle at the time of the theft. The investigation determined that criminal mischief to the vehicle also occurred, as there was broken motorvehicle- window glass observed near where the vehicle was parked at the time of the theft. The resident did not report any additional items of value in the vehicle at the time of the theft.
Sunday, March 17, a motor vehicle stop took place in the area of North EuclidAvenue and MountainAvenue due to observed equipment violation. During the traffic stop, the officer learned of two separate active traffic warrants for the driver, Eliza Brzostowski, 25, of Newark, from two separate municipalities. The driver was released on scene on her own recognizance with a new court date for each municipality.
Monday, March 18, a resident of the 200 block of Eaglecroft Road reported an incident of fraud. Specifically, the victim reported that an unknown suspect made numerous unauthorized ATM cash withdrawals utilizing their debit-card information. The victim was in possession of their debit card at the time that these fraudulent withdrawals were made. The victim suffered a monetary loss of $2,600 as a result of this incident.
Tuesday, March 19, a resident of the 100 block of Cowperthwaite Place reported an incident of fraud. Specifically, the victim reported that they had purchased tickets to an event using Facebook Marketplace. After sending payment to the seller via Zelle, the victim did not receive the tickets. The victim suffered a monetary loss of $800 as a result of this incident.
Wednesday, March 20, a resident of the 800 block of Wallberg Avenue reported being the victim of identity theft. The complainant stated that while applying for a permit in another jurisdiction he was made aware that there was another name attached to his Social Security Number.
Wednesday, March 20, Westfield patrol officers responded to a report of a suspicious incident on the 600 block of Boulevard. The caller reported that an unknown person, described as a Black adult male wearing a camouflage vest, knocked on her door asking questions about an unknown third party he claimed to be investigating. The subject then fled the area in a dark-colored Jeep.
Thursday, March 21, officers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Watchung Fork following an alarm activation. Responding officers discovered the door open, indicating forcible entry by individuals into the residence. A thorough interior check of the residence yielded negative results for suspects. At the time of the report, the resident did not notice anything missing or out of place. It was noted that the residence was vacant at the time of the incident.
Friday, March 22, an unknown suspect attempted to commit burglary or theft to a parked motor vehicle in a driveway on the 900 block of Willow Grove Road. The suspect was thwarted by the vehicle’s door locks. This incident was captured on the owner’s security-camera system.
