CRANFORD – The Cranford Police Department invites Cranford families to join officers for a morning of fishing fun at the 2nd Annual Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby. The event will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Nomahegan Park.
Cops and Bobbers provides an opportunity for kids and parents to interact with Cranford’s law enforcement officers in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Police officers will be on hand to assist novice anglers, share fishing tips and techniques, and help bait hooks. A limited number of fishing rods will be available to borrow for those without equipment.
Last year’s inaugural Cops and Bobbers event was a big success, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger turnout this year. It’s a great way for families to enjoy a morning of fishing together while getting to know the officers who protect and serve our community. We’re excited to continue building community relationships through Cops and Bobbers.
In addition to fishing, the event will have prize giveaways , and a biggest catch contest with prizes. Light refreshments will be provided.
Cops and Bobbers is free and open to Cranford residents ages five to 13 years old. Pre-registration is requested by Monday, April 15 via the Cranford Police Department App.
