GARWOOD — The Education Foundation of Garwood (EFG) has announced that its annual EFG Appreciation Dinner fundraiser will take place on Thursday, April 25. It will be held at the Knights of Columbus hall, located at 37 South Avenue, Garwood. The evening will include the presentation of the Garwood Educator of the Year honor to Matthew Burke, as well as the first presentation to Paraprofessional of the Year, Imperia Mormille.
This year the EFG also is celebrating 20 years of supporting Garwood teachers and students. Proceeds from the dinner allow the EFG to continue its mission of providing funding for teacher-sponsored programs and scholarships for Garwood students.
The EFG dinner has become a popular yearly event and is the foundation’s biggest fundraiser. The evening will feature a buffet, beer and wine. Door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be included as well.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at Lincoln School or by contacting EFG President Maureen Scepkowski via email at garwoodeducationfoundation @gmail.com.
