AREA— The Wardlaw+Hartridge School inducted 11 new members into the Cum Laude Society during a ceremony held on April 25 in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Head of School Corinna Crafton, Ed.D., Upper School Head Bob Bowman, Ed.D., Dean of Students Mrs. Christine Cerminaro and Upper School faculty members Jonathan Wilson, Ph.D., and Sra. Maggie Reiter led the presentation as faculty and staff who are Cum Laude members.
Senior members Siddarth Bharadwaj of Edison, Joanne Ding of Scotch Plains, Gbemi Olarewaju of Piscataway, Diya Patel of Edison, Aadithya Srinivasan of Edison and Luke Tan of Edison welcomed the new members and joined them on stage.
New Wardlaw+Hartridge inductees include seniors Raiya Patel of Edison, Aryamaan Roy Choudhury and Ayushman Roy Choudhury of Clark, Sanya Sidhu of Edison and Hannah Yin of Scotch Plains and juniors Adam Eisdorfer of Colonia, Vinay Karthik of Edison, Tapleen Kaur of Carteret, Oliver Laskow of Westfield, Briana Li of Edison and Annie Yu of Edison.
Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is dedicated to honoring scholastic achievement in secondary schools. The founders of the society modeled Cum Laude after Phi Beta Kappa and in the years since its founding, Cum Laude has grown to 382 chapters, approximately two dozen of which are located in public schools and the rest in independent schools. Membership is predominantly in the United States, but chapters also are located in Canada, England, France, Spain, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.
Located at 1295 Inman Avenue, Edison, The Wardlaw+Hartridge School educates students from prekindergarten through 12th grade within its Early Childhood program, Lower School, Middle School and Upper School.
