Last week my husband had a very important doctor’s appointment. He is 97 years old and uses a wheel chair to get around. We live on the second floor of condo residence whose elevator was not working. Not knowing how to get him to the car, I called the police department and within 15 minutes a fire truck pulled up and 3 strong firemen carried my husband down, wheel chair and all and got him into the car. Two hours later, upon our return, I called once again and they returned and brought him back up.
We are so grateful and appreciative of the kindness and support shown to us and felt it important to publicly thank our wonderful police and fire personnel.
