SUMMIT AREA — The Summit Area Old Guard will hear from one of its own when member Allen Hamilton speaks to the group about Genealogy and Ancestry.com on Tuesday, May 21. Mr. Hamilton will discuss his experiences, Ancestry’s resources and its DNA feature.
He will give an overview and accept questions and comments from those in attendance.
Founded in 1930, the Summit Area Old Guard meets most Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at the New Providence Presbyterian Church, located at 1307 Springfield Avenue, New Providence.
The Old Guard is a social, recreational and educational fellowship of retired men. Dues are minimal. The group provides speakers and multiple activities through the volunteer efforts of its members.
Old Guard programs are free and open to the public. The group’s motto is “Come for the Programs. Stay for the Friends.”
