SCOTCH PLAINS — NAMI Union County will sponsor a presentation by Kristina Silvestry, director of Peace of Mind Yoga, on “ Meditation Techniques for Caregivers” to help manage stress and create well-being.
Open to the public, this free event will take place on Tuesday, May 28, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The program will be held at RWJ Fitness and Wellness Center, located at 2120 Lamberts Mill Road, Scotch Plains. Registration is not required in order to attend.
Ms. Silvestry will delve into effective meditation methods that aid caregivers in managing stress. Participants will explore various meditation styles, such as mindfulness and focused attention, that have been proven to decrease stress and enhance emotional and physical well-being.
Additionally, the session will provide actionable tips on how to weave these practices into daily life, enabling caregivers to balance their responsibilities while prioritizing their mental health.
