Gov. Approves $56.7-Billion State Budget For 2025
TRENTON — Last week, Governor Phil Murphy signed off on a recordbreaking $56.7-billion state budget that will allocate extra funding to public schools, pensions and property-tax relief. And while state Democrats say that this year’s spending package, which includes a $6.1-billion surplus, will promote a better quality of life for New Jersey families, critics argue that the budget was rushed through the legislature without due process.
