Kathleen “ Kacie” Borchers passed away suddenly in her home on the morning of Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age of 69. Kathleen was born in February, 1955 in Kansas City, Mo. After various moves throughout the country, the Borchers family settled in Westfield, N.J., where, for the past 50 years, Kathleen has called home. She attended high school in LaGrange, Ill.; Madison, Conn.; and Westfield, N. J., and studied at the City University of New York for Hospitality and the Culinary Arts. Kathleen worked in the hotel industry and spent many years working at the Best Western Westfield Inn, where she made many lifelong friends.
