GARWOOD — During Thursday night’s meeting of the Garwood mayor and council, MeganAvallone, a health officer with the Westfield Regional Health Department, addressed concerns about a vegetation-control program that has recently been introduced for Garwood Brook. The program, Ms. Avallone said, also should help to reduce the community’s rodent population if implemented correctly.
