Blossom ‘Bunny’ Block, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother
Blossom “Bunny” Block, 94, of New York, N.Y. and Westfield, N.J., died peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Benchmark Senior Living in Hamden, Connecticut. She was the wife of the late Albert Block, who passed away in 2010. Bunny was born January 5, 1930, in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Samuel and Elsie (Siegel) Cohen.
She attended Erasmus Hall High School, New York University, and Parsons School of Design. An avid animal lover, arts-goer and cook, Bunny raised her two sons in Westfield, and lived there until 2021.
She is survived by her children, James and his wife, Kim, and Sandy; her grandchildren, Steven and his wife, Lauren, and Kevin; and her great-grandchildren, Allison and Devin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Pets For Vets, a charity that matches veterans with shelter pets to enhance both their lives.
