Rosendo J. Molina, Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather
Rosendo J. Molina, 87, died peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, after a long illness. He was born in Matanzas, Cuba, in 1937. Rosendo, his wife, Clotilde, and their two young sons, Rosendito (Ross) and Pedro (Peter), emigrated to the United States in August of 1970 due to the turbulent political situation in Cuba at the time. The family first arrived in Florida and then settled in New Jersey. Rosendo lived the American dream by starting over in the United States. He eventually became a proud and successful business owner in automotive sales and repairs.
Rosendo’s pride and joy was spending time with his large family located in New Jersey, California and Florida. He was always ready to host a party. He looked for any excuse to have a “Cuban Pig Roast” in his backyard; the more the merrier and the later the better. All gettogethers ended with espresso and many rounds of playing dominoes. Rosendo always had a smile on his face, many opinions to share, a cup of espresso and sometimes a cigar in his hand. Rosendo was always willing to assist anyone who needed help or advice. He spent many hours working side by side with his sons in the family business. Rosendo also spent just as many hours with his beloved grandchildren, Rachael (26), Peter (24) and Gabriella (21).
Rosendo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Clotilde; son, Pedro (Peter); two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. Rosendo is predeceased by his firstborn son, Ross, who passed in 2023.
