WESTFIELD — The Westfield Planning Board met Monday to review amendments to ordinances for home solar panels, property zoning in business districts, and a Green Development Checklist for construction projects. The changes are recommended by the town council, and while the planning board votes in an advisory capacity on such issues, the board spent an hour discussing the potential impacts on home safety and on the architectural and historical integrity of the community. Board members Michael Ash, Matthew Ceberio, Ross Goldstein and Mayor Shelley Brindle were absent from the meeting.
