The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School boys ice hockey had a fine start to its season and continued improving as the season progressed. The Raider icemen began with a 13-game unbeaten streak, which included three victories in the Essex Holiday Tournament, then later emerged to capture the Kelly Cup crown and eventually finished with a 17-6-3 record.
