SCOTCH PLAINS — A Scotch Plains woman who was accused of embezzling more than $350,000 from a local synagogue over a fouryear period has pleaded guilty to wire fraud in order to reduce her possible prison sentence from a maximum of 20 years to no more than 2.5 years.
