COMING OUT OF THE SHOOT…The Westfield High School football team roars out of the tunnel at Giants Stadium at the start of the North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 Championship game with Morristown on December 5. Very few high school teams ever get the opportunity to appear at the Meadowlands. The Blue Devils had a stellar season and brought Westfield High School football back to prominence. Please see a story on Page 13.

SANTA CLAUS COMES TO TOWN… An estimated 500 children waited in line to whisper in Santa’s ear last Sunday at the Scotch Plains Village Green gazebo during an afternoon of “Old Fashioned Holiday Fun” and warm weather. The event was attended by over 3,000 people and was sponsored by the township and Scotch Plains Business and Professional Association.
